גיא שהם משוטט בחוצות העיר ומלקט חפצים שקורצים ומושכים את עיניו החמדניות. כך הוא אוגר ומקים קטלוג של חפצים בלים ונטושים בהם הזמן והגורמים נתנו את חותמם. מאוצרותיו החדשים הוא יוצר אסמבלאז׳ים שמשמשים כנקודת פתיחה והשראה לציורי הטבע הדומם שלו. חלומות וזכרונות מחלחלים לתהליך והתוצאות הבלתי צפויות לוכדות את תשומת לב הצופה. הטכניקה המיושנת כביכול של צבעי שמן על בד זוכה לרענון מחודש ומלא ברק.

מאז סיים בהצטיינות ממכללת צ'לסי לאמנות בלונדון 2002, הוא הציג בתל אביב, ז'נבה, ווינה ולאחרונה בלונדון בתערוכת יחיד בשם Magpie.
